Troopers "Light the night" in support of the Leukaemia Foundation

Troopers from the Hunter Hornet Squad assembled at Newcastle's Dixon Park last Friday evening to help the Leukaemia Foundation and to show support for families going through treatment for blood cancer.

The Imperial Officer, Jawa and Stormtrooper headed into the assembling crowds about an hour before sunset, where numerous families with young children setup camp for the event and a local dance group performed on stage.

As the sun set participants, with lanterns in hand, proceeded to walk across Merewether Beach as captured by NBN News.

The Leukaemia Foundation raised $17,670 from the Newcastle event.
