Operation "Star Wars week" is almost upon us

Our troopers are preparing for an onslaught of appearances during the week of and including Star Wars day, May the 4th.

The Southern Cross Garrison is deploying members across NSW and ACT starting from Sunday 29 April through to Sunday 6 May.

Sunday 29 April

  • EB Games Riverside Starlight Week - Queanbeyan, Canberra

Wednesday 2 May

  • Bond store appearances across Sydney

Friday 4 May - Star Wars day

  • Pictures and Popcorn - Veolia Arena, Goulburn
  • Charlestown Square, Charlestown
  • Crumpler Galleries - George Street Sydney
  • Troopers will also be making some surprise visits to several hospitals on Star Wars day.

Saturday May 5 

  • Star Wars fan weekend - Powerhouse Museum, Sydney
  • Toys R Us - Majura Park Shopping Centre, Canberra
  • Starlight Week Zing - Belconnen, Canberra

Sunday May 6

  • Star Wars fan weekend - Powerhouse Museum, Sydney
  • Missing Ham Bridge Amphitheatre - Ballina

Special event: Star Wars fan weekend at the Powerhouse Museum

For the ultimate Star Wars fan experience, the 501st Legion has been invited by the Powerhouse Museum and the Walt Disney Company Australia to celebrate the Star Wars universe over the weekend of May 5 - 6. Joining the Southern Cross Garrison will be fellow Star Wars costuming groups the Rebel Legion Tython Base, Sandhawk Clan - Mandalorian Mercs and the Droid Builders.

Jump in the cockpit of a 1:1 scale X-wing Resistance fighter and explore the Star Wars universe throughout the Museum with Jedi Training, character appearances, costume competitions, augmented reality experiences, coding workshops, games and more.
